Monday 11 September, London – Prof. Pasquale Caponnetto, CoEHAR member, join the 2023 SRNT-E conference to present the findings on the latest COEHAR study on varenicline and counseling for vaping cessation
The popularity of nicotine-releasing devices, such as electronic cigarettes, is constantly increasing, but it is unclear whether existing smoking cessation guidelines can be applied to vaping products and there are no studies of the efficacy of medications approved for smoking cessation for aiding vaping cessation.
In a recently published study, professor Pasquale Caponnetto and the COEHAR research team have evaluated the efficacy and tolerability of varenicline, a drug used in smoking cessation programs, to help people who use e-cigarettes to stop vaping.
To present the findings of the study VAREVAPE 1, prof. Caponnetto join the 2023 SRNT-E Conference in London.
On Monday 11 September, prof. Caponnetto has presented “Varenicline and counseling for vaping cessation: A double-blind, randomized, parallel-group, placebo-controlled trial“.
