#ScienceForUkraine: CoEHAR is the first research center to welcome scientists from Ukraine
Catania, Tuesday 15 March – The Center of Excellence for the acceleration of Harm Reduction of the University of Catania is the first sicilian point on the #ScienceForUkraine site, the international science platform that welcomes requests from researchers fleeing Ukraine.
CoEHAR has already received numerous requests for researchers arriving from war-torn lands who will be able to find refuge and professional hospitality at the university’s facilities.
Thanks to the collaboration of various organizations involved, the Center will cover travel and accommodation costs and will give researchers the opportunity to continue working together with colleagues from the academic world, using the spaces of the laboratories located at the Biological Tower of Catania.
“Solidarity is not enough, we must concretely help these scientists to continue to conduct their work of the highest scientific quality by giving all our support” – so the director of CoEHAR, prof. Giovanni Li Volti.
“Science is sharing. We believe in a science made up of good ideas and right collaborations and it is with this spirit that we will continue to support researchers from all over the world so that, in war and in peace, they can always find the right support to give the world the answers it expects.“- closes prof. Riccardo Polosa, founder of CoEHAR.
The researchers who arrive in the city will be able to interact professionally with all the CoEHAR researchers in the conduct of international research projects already underway and will also be able to propose new ones.
