According to the latest update of the Plos Biology database, in addition to the names we have already reported in the previous article, CoEHAR holds the record of world center of excellence with 9 other members reported as being among the most productive in the world in the field of scientific research.

Catania 16 November 2021 – The online database “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators” contains a ranking of the most cited scientists in the world, divided into 22 specific fields and a further 176 sub-categories. Prof. Riccardo Polosa, as already announced, is also confirmed as one of the most cited scientists in the world for 2021. In the list of the most cited also other CoEHAR members including prof. Sebastiano Battiato, prof. Aldo Calogero, prof. Filippo Drago, prof. Antonino Gulino and Prof. Rosalia Leonardi.

According to the 2021 update, another 6 CoEHAR Council members are ranked.

Recall that the Plos Biology database is the most important scientific analysis method of world research. To draw it up, six different citation parameters are used, including the total number of publications and the number of times an article related to a scientific study is cited in which the scientist in question is a single author or first author.
