During the latest meeting of the Polish Periodontal Society held by the Polish Society of Periodontology and Periodontology Chapter of the Polish Dental Society from 10 to 11 March 2023, prof. Jan Kowalski of the Department of Periodontology, Medical University of Warsaw (Poland) was invited to present the SMILE Study project.
After the last Friday lecture, prof. Kowalski presented his work, together with the presentation of the activity of the Society, just before the General Assembly of the Society. The conference is dedicated to periodontal professionals from Poland.

Smile study is a CoEHAR research project that aims to assess the impact of cigarette smoking on oral health in four different countries around the world. The study evaluates the impact of smoking on teeth appearance and oral health parameters, comparing the data emerging from those smokers who switch to electronic nicotine delivery systems, such as electronic cigarettes and heated tobacco products.
